Linehaul Driver Pre-Screening Checklist

Checklist
- City/State:
- Do you have a valid CDL-A license?
- Are you at least 23 years of age?
- Do you have at least 1 year of CDL-A experience in the past 3 years (or 5 years in the past 10)?
- Are you legally authorized to work in the U.S.?
- Can you pass a DOT physical examination and maintain a current medical card?
- Can you pass a pre-employment drug screen (includes marijuana)?
- Have you had fewer than 2 moving violations in the past 12 months?
- Have you had no serious violations (DUI, reckless driving, leaving the scene) in the past 5 years?
- Have you had no preventable DOT-recordable accidents in the past 12 months?
- Do you have a valid Doubles/Triples endorsement?
- Do you have experience pulling doubles?
- Do you have experience coupling and uncoupling trailers?
- Are you comfortable driving at night?
- Are you available to work a Tue–Sun schedule if required?
- Are you willing to run as part of a team if assigned?
- Are you open to Wild Team assignments (variable routes, multiple nights away)?
- Are you interested in Dedicated Team runs (same pattern weekly or biweekly)?
- Do you understand that most Solo linehaul runs are local or overnight with daily home time?
- Are you willing to be paired with a non-smoking teammate if required?
- Do you have reliable transportation to and from the linehaul terminal?
- Are you comfortable using electronic logging devices (ELDs)?
- Are you willing to undergo random drug testing during employment?
- Do you understand that DOT and FMCSA compliance is mandatory?
- Have you worked for a FedEx contractor in the past 90 days?
- If your FedEx approval lapsed, was it within the last 12 months?
